This artwork represents the three iconic Tango musicians: “Pichuco” Anibal Troilo, Gardel, and Astor Piazzola. Piazzola was initially criticised and demonised by the old school critics for his music, which they labeled as “anti-tango.” He fell from the paradise where Gardel, Juan D’arienzo, Carlos di Sarli, and others were worshipped. However, Piazzola continued to compose and play with his quintet, eventually becoming one of the most influential musicians of his generation.
